November 2006Site upgrade - Splooge - Midori - Nettie - Venomhaus We've been experiencing some difficulties over the last few months but things are starting to work themselves out and one of those things is a full site upgrade. If you're trying to find the podcasts, try searching venomhaus or BDSM on youtube.com they're just taking a short stay over there. http://www.youtube.com/user/NoelGraydon We're dividing this site in two and launching venomhaus.com shortly, which will be "Our" fine art site. I say "Our" as my wife and I are now working hand in glove to produce cutting edge Fetish Imagery. Previously it was just me as a photographer achieving the "Photographically possible", now with Digital Photography being what it is and Nettie's awesome photoshop skills, I feel we can achieve MORE than photography and visually realize the Fantasy images we've always dreamed of. It's incredibly fullfilling for me to work with such incredible support. We are now going to work under the artistic name of Venomhaus rather than Noel Graydon Photographer. This month we release "Acid Reign" and "Splooge Somnia" for sale on the site after their debut at Melbourne Leather Pride's "Provocatuer" exhibition (see podcasts "enter the splooge and MLP 2006), where both images sold their first edition #1/50. We also released a petite series of nine images from my shoot with Midori last year "Botsuri Sub Space" which are also available for sale online right now. They're next public apearence will be at "Uber" in Sydney on December 9?? |
July 2005 new directions - The Summer of '33Recently I had the pleasure of shooting a friend with an extensive Latex collection in Melbourne, upon return to Adelaide, whilst scrutinizing the images, I saw an opportunity for a photo montage (Totally out of character for me, I'm an old school trained film zealot). My wife is a Graphic Designer and in particular a photoshop expert and I described a vision to her which excited and inspired her. We dug up stock shots of mine from up to seven years ago (Sky and oil refinery) and composed a mock up of what we could possibly create. The next day we packed up the kids (Neisha, just turned three and 8 week old Zoe) and headed to the nearest seaside village of Semaphore. Where we found Sand, water and jetty under heavily over cast skies (perfect non directional lighting). Mum and the girls enjoyed the fresh salt air while I grabbed a couple of Giga bytes of source material. 19 different images gently massaged together later and the "Summer of '33" is a reality and finally a process that enables me to visually realize the Fetish that I could never express in the pure photographic medium. I found the whole process very subconscious, as I'm never really aware of what I'm shooting, I always try to let go and lose myself in the moment but with the clarity of twenty twenty hindsight, I consider the feelings I encountered as a native Queenslander (Staples of untainted Sand, Surf, Cobalt blue skies and blazing sunshine.) when driving along the California coast late last year (Nov 2004) and seeing Oil Refineries just a few miles off shore and considering what it must be like to grow up wading in the shallows and in their shadows. I'm very excited by this first image as I feel it is a direction I can take for some time. Plus it is incredibly rewarding working so closely with my wife and combining our skills to produce such lovely imagery. See larger image and other new work - Cyber Slash |
